Born at a very early age somewhere near
Hampstead Heath, London, Dave realised early
on that he was never going to be another Turner
or Constable. That left only only one alternative
- cartoons! Pencil grasped tightly, the boy Dave
set off on his meandering course, finally arriving
many years later and only a little wiser on
Hampshire's 'Garden Isle', the Isle of Wight,
where, with amazing foresight, having produced
cartoons for all manner of occasions and a
wide range of clients, accompanied by his
long-suffering wife, two kids and three cats,
he reincarnated as The Cartoon Artshop and
continues to create crazy art for everything from
greetings cards, corporate presentations,
whacky gifts, promotional material, educational
publications, to the 'House Speciality' -
bespoke caricatures, for just about any event -
from the angelic, to the X-rated...!
